Our master butchers, Malachy and Brendan, have gone to great lengths to source turkeys from respected turkey farms.
All off our white turkeys are from Hogan’s Turkey Farm in Co. Meath run by Fintan and Paul Hogan (pictured) along with their wives Hilda and Sandra. Rearing turkeys is their passion, and as they say themselves, everyone of their family ‘grew up knee deep in feathers’! It all started over 50 years ago, when Fintan and Paul’s Mother, decided to rear 70 turkeys one Christmas to raise some extra money for herself and her growing family. All the turkeys sold out and they haven’t looked back. The white Charlesfort turkey breed is a slow growing turkey maturing over a longer period of time adding to its delicious flavour.
We supply the turkeys whole, boned and rolled, or crown only. Just pop by and have a chat with any of our butchers, who are more than happy to recommend the best cuts and size for your family, and provide cooking tips.eats.
